Vanuatu Minister of Education Mr Bob Loughman presented a cheque for 7.5 million vatu to the USP Vice Chancellor and President Mr Rajesh Chandra on Friday, February 27. The funds are part of an ongoing commitment from the Vanuatu government to help build a security fence around the front perimeter of Emalus campus.
Minister Loughman spoke of the government's recognition of the importance of security for students and staff at Emalus campus. With these funds, construction works on the new fencing can now begin.
Thanking the minister for the government's generosity, the USP Vice Chancellor reiterated the University's strong interest in Vanuatu and provided high-quality tertiary education to its citizens. USP can help ensure the safety of the users of Emalus campus with its new fence.
