Advisory 44

Dear Staff and Students

Further to yesterday’s advisory issued by the USP DISMAC on Tropical Cyclone Harold in Fiji, Laucala Campus remains closed to all non-residents and visitors until after the Easter break Tuesday 14 April.

From the 14th until the 17th April, the University remains in lockdown as per its COVID-19 Pandemic Management Plan, with only essential staff required to attend.

Reports received from our Regional Campus Directors at Solomon Islands and Vanuatu indicate no major damage to the main Campuses. We are awaiting further updates from Santo and Malampa Centres.

For all Regional Campuses, please observe national advisories and take advice from your Campus Directors.

Please note that the University is constantly monitoring and reviewing the COVID-19 Pandemic and TC Harold and we request that USP staff and students regularly check their emails, USP website and USP social media outlets. USP DISMAC also encourages all staff and students to practice clean hygiene protocols, social distancing and limit travel and movement.

We thank you for your understanding in these challenging times.
