Discipline of Computing Science and Information Systems (CS/IS) within the School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics (STEMP) is one of the largest in the School and is well-resourced to pursue excellence in teaching and research. Our mission is to provide the best possible university education in areas of Computing Science and Information Systems to our students.
The Discipline offers degrees in Computing Science and Information Systems. The discipline is highly active in teaching and research activities in the areas of current ICT-related technologies, with courses in data communication, computer networks and security, internet computing, data mining, project management, being revised or developed on a timely basis. Our graduates can be found throughout the South Pacific region holding important ICT-related posts. The Discipline also pursues research vigorously, with many papers from staff published annually in leading international journals and conference proceedings.
