The next research seminar talk this Tuesday, 05/05, from 16-17 at the ICT conference room will be given by Dr. John Kauta. The talk is expository and thus in particular accessible to graduate students, so please advise your students to attend.
We are going to define normed spaces over valued fields and state their basic properties and give some examples. We will compare and contrast their properties with those of traditional normed spaces. Then we will dwell on the norm-preserving extendibility of bounded linear transformations on such spaces.
