Continuing Education Summer Schedule 2011: See below
USP's Marshall Islands Campus runs a series of courses covering a
wide variety of areas that are available to most people in the
community and are a valuable source of improving their skills. The
Continuing and Community Education Program is run by Tamara
Greenstone, who brings insight, knowledge, energy and enthusiasm
to this valuable program.
The courses are developed to improve skills that are most needed in
the community, such as literacy and numeracy and the teaching of
traditional Marshallese weaving.
For example, USP, with funding from the National Training Council,
is running (in early 2011) an Out-of-School Youth Literacy and
Life Skills Program on Ebeye Island, Kwajalein Atoll. (Pictured
above are the Ebeye students wearing Women United Together
in the Marshall Islands T-shirts.)
