Biography:
Johanna Beasley holds a Diploma of Textile Design, degrees in teaching and Fine Arts (majoring in printmaking), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Student Welfare. Her experience in another area (special education) brought her from Australia to Fiji where she volunteered with the Fiji Council for Disabled People. Later, she returned to her interest in art and became the Head of Visual Arts at the Fiji Institute of Technology where she curated exhibitions and lectured, before becoming the head of Visual Arts at the International School in Nadi. She has exhibited many times and was highly recommended for her sculpture in a Fiji Arts Council Competition. While she is currently based in Suva, Kadavu holds a special place in her life. Johanna is currently working towards her Masters Degree.
