2012 sees the launch of two new tertiary programmes in the area of Engineering. The curricula of these programmes are in line with internationally accredited engineering programmes. The four-year professional engineering programmes are scheduled to commence in Semester One, 2012, and the courses will be offered through various modes of delivery.

The current three-year BETech programme is being phased out and there is a possibility for the existing BETech students to switch over to the new programmes. Graduates of BETech will also be provided with suitable cross credits if they wish to enroll in the new engineering programmes.

Pathway for Diploma students
Applicants with an Advanced Diploma from FNU will be admitted directly into BE second year. Other diploma holders will be advised on a case-by-case basis.

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment (FSTE) from The University of the South Pacific proudly heralds the introduction of TWO NEW PROGRAMMES in the field of Information & Communications Technology (ICT).

The two programmes will be offered in the face-to-face and flexible learning (distance) modes of delivery, using the state-of-the-art facilities housed in the new ICT Center. The courses will be taught by professors and highly qualified staff from all over the world.

There is also a possibility for existing USP students with CS/IS majors to switch over. The first three years provide a focused introduction of the core topics in the respective subject area. The final year consists of two postgraduate level courses, in addition to a research project.
