The Performance Management Reference Groups will be led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Regional Campuses) and comprise of selected staff from the three different staff categories for the three Performance Management Plans: - Academic Staff
- Comparable Staff
- Intermediate/Junior/Hourly Paid Staff
Its main purpose as outlined in the TOR will be to provide guidance throughout the review process and determine the scope and activities of the Project. The Group will make recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor on the new draft performance management plans and provide progress reports on the implementation of the Project.
The three PM plans will be reviewed serially and the composition of the Group will vary as the reviews progress, to ensure appropriate representation for each plan review.
The work of the Group will be guided by the Values of the University and in line with USP’s strategic goals and objectives.

Overview
The University is undertaking a project to review, improve and refine the three current performance management plans for Academic, Comparable and Intermediate and Junior staff. The Performance Management Reference Group has been appointed by the Vice Chancellor to ensure representation of the participant groups in the performance management processes.
