Explanation

The convention used for identifying the thesis or supervised research project for a Masters degree or a thesis for a PhD degree is as follows:

1. The Supervised Research Project (SRP) bears the number 600,
2. A thesis for a Masters degree bears the number 700,
3. A thesis for a PhD degree bears the number 800

The prefix to the number of the thesis or supervised research project is that of the school or department or, where the thesis or the supervised research project cannot be identified with a single school or department, the USP Faculty within which the thesis or supervised research project is being undertaken.
