北京外国语大学代表团访问南太平洋大学孔子学院

2016年12月3日,北京外国语大学副校长孙有中教授率团访问南太平洋大学孔子学院,并与南太平洋大学文法教育学院院长Akanisi Kedrayate博士、南太孔院院长余倩莊女士、中方院长杨慧女士举行会谈。

孙有中教授向大家介绍了北京外国大学在小语种开设和语言教学方面的经验和优势,希望通过南太孔院增进北京外国语大学和南太平洋大学之间的相互了解,增强两所大学之间各方面的合作。双方共同探讨在北京外国语大学开设斐济语和毛利语的可能性和所面临的困难,并从南太孔院今年主推线上汉语教学受到启发,决定从探索汉语与斐济语数字化教学开始。

近几年来,南太孔院已成为中国与南太平洋地区各国交流的重要平台,正逐渐搭建起中国与南太平洋大学各成员国之间在语言、文化、教育等方面交流合作的桥梁。

 

Delegation of Beijing Foreign Studies University Visited CI-USP

Professor Youzhong Sun , the vice-principal of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and his team  visited the Confucius Institute at The University of the South Pacific (CI-USP) and met Dr. Akanisi Kedrayate, the Dean of Faculty of Arts, Law and Education at USP , the Directors of CI-USP Ms. Joan Yee and Professor Yang Hui.

Professor Youzhong Sun briefly introduced the advantages of the BFSU at the minority language majors and the experiences about teaching languages. He expressed his wishes to enhance the relationship between the BFSU and the USP through CI-USP and establish future cooperation with each other. Two sides talked about the probabilities and challenges of establishing Fiji language and Maori in the BFSU. They got inspirited from CI-USPís online teaching Chinese language and decided to start from digital teaching of Chinese and Fiji language.

After several years of development, the CI-USP has become an important platform for communication between China and South Pacific countries, gradually constructing a bridge between China and the member states of The University of the South Pacific, through cooperation and exchange in language, culture, and education.
