Group photo of Chinese teacher and some of the participants5月23日至24日,南太平洋大学孔子学院(以下简称南太孔院)在斐济香格里拉温泉度假酒店(以下简称香格里拉)顺利完成中国语言文化培训。本次培训受香格里拉酒店培训部委托,由南太孔院劳托卡教学点组织开展,为期两天,共计12学时,来自市场营销部、餐饮部、体育娱乐部、安保部等40名部门经理及员工参与了本次培训。

本次培训共分为三个板块,涵盖中国传统文化、中国游客境外游行为习惯与基础汉语等内容。酒店职员纷纷表现出了对中国及汉语的极大兴趣。在师生互动、案例分析、视频欣赏、情境练习等灵活多样的授课形式中,培训人员刷新了对中国及中国人的传统印象,对中国文化有了崭新的、更深入的了解,并掌握了所有部门在工作时都可以经常使用的简单汉语。

香格里拉培训部经理Lite Seruvakula女士在培训结束后表示,培训人员均对本次培训积极反馈,满意度高,多名员工要求尽快安排下一次中国语言文化培训。Seruvalu女士也就南太孔院与香格里拉今后的合作做了简单规划,认为每季度应安排至少一次培训,并注重培训的针对性,根据部门的不同需求设计不同的培训材料。

On the 23rd and 24th of May, Confucius Institute at The University of the South Pacific (CI-USP) successfully conducted a Chinese culture and language training course at Shangri-las Fijian Resort & Spa. Organized by CI-USP Lautoka Teaching Point. This 12-hour training course was participated by 40 service managers and clerks from Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage, Sport & Recreation, Security and other departments of Shangri-las.

This training was divided into three major topics, including the introduction to China and Chinese traditional culture, behaviors and habits of Chinese outbound tourists, and basic Chinese language at work. All participants showed great interest in China and Chinese language. By means of trainer-trainee interaction, case study, video-watching and situational practice, participants updated their previous impression on Chinese culture and people, had a newer and deeper insight into China. They also mastered general and simple Chinese words and sentences they encountered frequently at work.

After the training course, Ms. Lite Seruvakula, Training Manager of Shangri-las, shared with Mr. Jie Huang much positive feedback from clerks who participated and how highly they spoke of this course. According to Ms. Seruvakula, most of the participants wished for another Chinese culture and language training in the near future. Ms. Seruvakula also expressed her idea of organizing Chinese training course at least once in every three months, with a focus on the different needs from the diverse departments in the resort.
