CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIPS (2013)

The Confucius Institute at USP invites applications for two scholarships that are offered by the Confucius Institute Headquarters in Beijing.
The scholarships will provide financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers worldwide to proceed to a
Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) in universities in China. The scholarship winners will begin their study in autumn 2013 (i.e. September 2013).
The grant will cover two academic years.
Applicants must have Bachelor degrees, have a very good knowledge of the Chinese language (the USPCI will administer the HSK exam for potential candidates), and commit to the teaching of the Chinese language for at least 5 years after Graduation.
Applicants must be citizens of one of the Pacific Islands countries.
Applications close on 22 April 2013.
