  • Graduated in June,2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Public Administration & Politics and International Affairs – USP, Laucala Campus, Suva

PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE 

  • Working for the Government of Tonga’s Ministry of Transport from 19th July, 2010 – 29th June, 2012 as the Human Resource Officer, then  worked for the Ministry of Infrastructure from July 2012 until present in its Policy & Planning division as the Information and Communications Officer
  • Working as Part-time tutor at the USP Tonga Campus for two years from 1st semester 2011 – 2nd semester, 2012
  • Worked for Global Insurance Ltd in Nuku’alofa from March 2006 to January 2007 as Office Assistant 
  • Part-time job in NZ while studying for a Commercial Pilots License, working for Phoenix Market Research Company in Mt Eden Auckland for about a year until December 2003 as a telephone surveyor

OTHER PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Vice-President of USP Laucala Campus Students Association (October 2009 - July 2010)
  • Chairperson for International and Community Relations for USP Laucala Campus Students Association (October 2008 – October 2009)
  • Research Assistant for a Research Team (Dr Alumita Durutalo, Dr Desmond Amosa, Dr Gordon Nanau) from USP, Laucala Campus in undertaking a research/survey regarding the formation of political parties and the conduct of the first-ever democratic elections in Tonga in November, 2010

Senimili graduated with a BA in Geography and Sociology from USP in 1998.  After an extended period as wife and mother, she was employed she returned to USP in 2005 to work at the Council Secretariat, which is part of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.  She was Secretary to the University Senate and Academic Standards and Quality Committee. In December 2012 she became a full time student on the MBA programme.  She is currently the Convener of International Relations of the Fiji Association of Women Graduates, which is an affiliate of the International Federation of University Women. She has held this position for three years. 

Senimili enjoys reading biographies, news, meeting people, working out, travelling to new places and cooking. She is passionate about social issues affecting young women and children.
