Certificate in Office Administration and Management

The Certificate I- IV in Office Administration and Management will prepare candidates for an exciting administration career. This programme is designed to help develop people’s office skills and make them more effective and productive in their workplaces. Learning is carried out in a friendly and supportive environment that will bring out the best in a person and also foster team work and networking

Prerequisite

  • Form 6 level education or
  • Mature age entry with minimum 3 years work experience and knowledge of office work
  • Basic office skills certificate or a qualification at Certificate level

Delivery Mode

i. Face to Face

Interactive classes including lecture, discussions and tutorials will be conducted for 2 - 3 weeks for each module.

ii. Self Directed Learning

Assignments and a project will be established to encourage individual participation. Students will also be encouraged to share resources through this network to assist them in accomplishing their assigned tasks.

 

Certificate Award

The Certificate I- IV in Office Administration and Management offers a 13-module course in a 13 month block of studies. Certificate II, III, or IV in Office Administration will be awarded for successful completion of all the requirements of the course. Certificate II in Office Administration will be awarded for successful completion of the first 5 modules.

The 13 modules are:

Module 1 - Functional Literacy & Numeracy ($300)

Module 2 - Computer Literacy ($350)

Module 3 - Financial Literacy ($350)

Module 4 - Skills for Administrative ($350)

Module 5 - Customer Service - ($350)

Module 6 - Conducive Work Environment ($350)

Module 7 - Business Communication - ($400)

Module 8 - Working with Computer Applications ($400)

Module 9 - Working in Teams ($450)

Module 10 - Financial Planning & Inventory Management ($450)

Module 11 – Leadership ($450)

Module 12 – Planning ($450)

Module 13 - Human Resource Management ($450)
