The OHS department  is responsible for:

  • Hazard and Risk Management - Audits ,Inspections, Fact Sheets and Advisory
  • OHS Training , Awareness & Procedures -  Hazards, OHS Legislation, Personal Protective Equipment
  • Emergency Preparedness – Procedures, Drills and Exercises ( Fire,Earthquake,Tsunami,Cyclone)
  • Building Safety Training – Fire Safety, Fire Warden Training, Evacuation Plans and Procedures
  • Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Monitoring –Heat,Humidity,Confined Spaces
  • Injury Investigation and Prevention
  • Safety Signage’s

Operations/Projects

This team is responsible for managing the maintenance operations of the Property and Facilities Section and facilitating the physical works on the repair and maintenance requirements of the Laucala Campus, in collaboration with the Director Property and Facilities, Asset Manager and Manager Engineering Services.

In carry out its role diligently, the team under the leadership of the Manager Operations are grouped into seven teams which are:

  • CAD
  • Projects
  • Joiners
  • Painters
  • Waste Care
  • Carpenters
  • Landscape

Engineering Services

Engineering Services

The Engineering Services team is responsible for the maintenance of:

  • Electrical services – Lighting and power system (inclusive of street lights, electrical switch boards, etc.)
  • Hydraulics services – plumbing and sanitary waste (inclusive of potable and waste water pumps)
  • Fire Protection services – Fire alarm system and fire equipment (fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire hydrants, etc.)
  • Mechanical services – air conditioning, fresh air and exhaust systems
  • Stand-by diesel generators
  • Lift services
  • Security services - Access control and CCTV

In carrying out its role diligently, the team under the leadership of the Engineering Services Manager is grouped into three sub teams (in-house) which are the Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Teams.
The Electrical team consists of 5 electricians and its team leader.

Asset Management & Finance

Asset Management & Finance

The Asset Management team is responsible for:

  • Facilitating maintenance job requests, transport & room booking and events set up
  • Asset maintenance plan
  • Documenting of all assets data electronically
  • Space utilisation audits
  • Financial operations
  • Stock management


In carrying out its role diligently, the team under the leadership of the Projects Manager is grouped into two sub teams which are the Finance and AM Support.
