Research project: The impact of climate change on livelihood and food security in Pacific Island Countries
Supervisors: Dr Eberhard Weber (University of the South Pacific), Professor Fantina Tedim (University of Porto) and Dr John Lowry (University of the South Pacific)
Aims: The main aim of this thesis is to investigate sustainable livelihood and food security in the context of vulnerability during and after an extreme flood event. The project will focus on the floods of 1999, 2009, and January and March 2012 in the Nadi area of western Viti Levu, Fiji.
