The Opportunity
Based at the USP Tonga Campus, the appointee will conduct research for the Institute using quantitative approaches, including the design and implementation of large scale surveys, analyse the data using a range of statistical tools and present findings in a coherent and accurate manner. You will provide professional development training for teachers and graduate students requiring assistance with use of quantitative methodology for research and design and deliver professional development programs in support of numeracy particularly for primary schools. The incumbent will supervise graduate students and teach courses for the School of Education when required as well as assist with all other research projects run out of the Institute. You will be required to travel and work in the 15 member countries of the Insitute.
The Person We Seek
To be considered for appointment you must have:
Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in a multi - cultural context, are highly skilled in report writing and are confident public speakers.
Renumeration
The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement:
Salary Range: Band 3 TOP$65, 109 to TOP$85,671 per annum
(Inclusive of 15% gratuity)
