Workshops

There were 2 workshops held at Laucala for the Tablet Learning Project.

The first workshop was held on 1st February 2013 and had 27 participants from Information Technology Services (ITS), USP.

The second workshop was held from the 5th to 8th February in association with ITS. TLP covered 2 sessions of the workshop. Participants included 6 IT staff from Alafua, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Labasa and Lautoka Campuses. Also there were participants from ITS Laucala and School of Computing, Information & Mathematical Sciences (SCIMS).

Facilitators: Varunesh Rao and Raneel Kumar

The contents for the workshops were Trends in Mobile Technology, Android OS, Using and Maintenance of Tablets and the details of the Tablet Learning Project itself. Participants at both the workshops were glad to get hands on experience while learning to use and perform maintenance operations on the tablets. Using the knowledge obtained from the workshop they would provide support for the tablets that are distributed to students around the region.
