The University of the South Pacific Nauru held its annual Open Day on the 10th of August 2012. Senior Nauru Secondary School students as well as members of the general public attended the USP open day. It was an opportunity to explore the various services provided by the Campus.
An essay competition was held for Nauru Secondary students where the theme was centred on “why USP is important to Nauru and its people.” On offer that day were various faculty stalls from USP, CCE Stall (Continuing and Community Education), scholarship offers from the Department of Education and APTC (Australian Pacific Technical College), free giveaways, free sausage sizzle, live band and heaps of fun and exciting entertainments provided by students and other groups.
USP open day was enjoyed by all and many of the students had the opportunity to find out, what their University can offer them so that they reach their pathway to success.
