III with the Cooperative Department, a division of Ministry of Labour, Commerce & Industries.  I was recruited on the 24th Feb 1992, being promoted to various rank up to Computor Grade I in 2008.  I was transferred to the Main Office in 2008 and worked for the Labour Mobility Division.  I was last promoted in 2011 to Snr. Asst Secretary Level 7 after the graduation on the under graduate degree.  In 2011 I was supervising the Corporate Services of the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Labour and again transferred back to the Labour Division to progress the Employment Relation Bill and Tonga to become ILO membership this year.  Ministry of Labour, Commerce & Industries and Ministry of Commerce, Tourism & Labour are the same Ministry but after a Government Restructure merging Tourism and the previous Ministry now become Ministry of Commerce, Tourism & Labour.

How do you think USP helped you in your career?
A lot which I cannot explain.

What inspires you and why?
One of my work mates which she already pass away she truly encourage me even she was not a student of USP before.

What advice would you give to current and future students of USP?
Try to receive a good grade not only to pass but to obtain a very good grade and move on to higher level of education as MBA etc.

What has your involvement been with the University since you graduated? Currently I am undertaking my MBA even I am almost 50 yrs old.  Age is not a matter if only I under took this while I am in my younger age.

Any other information you would like to share? My parents did not afford to take me for further education but really appreciate that USP offer DFL from Tonga.  Even provided summer classes for the courses that were not offer to Tonga.  I was able to complete my under degree from Tonga and now they offer the MBA in Tonga.  I hope that everyone will make use of this opportunity to upgrade their skills.  Undertaking the MBA with course already taken were really helpful.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Head of USP and all staff of USP for availing this opportunity for the people like me.
