What is your home country?
Fiji

What programme(s) did you graduate in and in which year?
Bachelor of Commerce ( BCom) majoring in Management and Public Administration, 2011

What was your most memorable moment as a student?
My final year, juggling with 4 assignments, readings, test, my children and community services and mostly trying to stay focus on my priorities.

Describe your experience while studying at USP.
It was awesome; I learnt to be patience, humble and mostly to appreciate what I have.

What was your greatest achievement while studying at USP?
Of course receiving my BCom certificate and how I as an individual would make difference in a little way not knowing of the impact towards the receiver.



After graduating from USP, what were some of the highlights of your career?
Before graduating I was employed by a construction company in here I was given 3 job descriptions Public Relation Officer, Occupational Health and Safety and Human Resources Assistant and trying to my best what the employer wants the employee need and the public need to know.

How do you think USP helped you in your career?
USP have helped me community-based research programs that allows me to develop a vast number of soft and hard skills, such as communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, multicultural awareness and teamwork.

After graduating from USP, what has been your greatest achievement?
Advising CEOís on policies and regulationís 

What inspires you and why?
My family mostly my children, how they have grown and stand strong on my absences. 

What advice would you give to current and future students of USP?
Coming for lectures is one thing staying focus is another. My advice is, no matter what circumstances and situation you may go through at USP, just stay focus to your goal of reaching the 3 year program that you have initiated at the first step. 

Please share your top three tips that you think are most important for our current students or recent graduates that will help them when starting out on their career paths.

  • Learn to work in study groups
  • Your network in school is important as you are the future leaders of our community, regions and country.
  • Your GPA to be over 3 during your graduation.

What has your involvement been with the University since you graduated? 
I have been the Alumni rep for the School of Management since 2011 until current.

Any other information you would like to share?
Friends from school may come and go but your program will always be there until when you complete them. Again just stay FOCUS and mingle with other university students. Get involved in what USP have to offer. And mostly be spiritually in tune.
