1. What is your home country?
New Zealand

2. What programme(s) did you graduate in and in which year?
BSc 1974

3. What was your most memorable moment as a student?
Starting the Hindu Cultural Society

4. Describe your experience while studying at USP.
Low student numbers meant everyone knew each other

5. After graduating from USP, what were some of the highlights of your career?
Worked for FSC than moved to Suva to manage the ginger processing plant. After the first coup moved to New Zealand and worked for Nestle. Spent some 20 months with Wrigleys as QA Manager in Sydney. Returned to New Zealand and have since been with New Zealand Starch Ltd.

6. How do you think USP helped you in your career?
Provided the base knowledge in Science

7. After graduating from USP, what has been your greatest achievement?
Managed a very successful ginger plant in Fiji. Than had a successful career with Nestle.

8. What inspires you and why?
Family and my children. Ensure my children never forget who they are and where they come from.

9. What advice would you give to current and future students of USP?
Learning does not stop at university. Its only the start. 

10. Please share your top three tips that you think are most important for our current students or recent graduates that will help them when starting out on their career paths.
You will only use 5% of what you learn at university. Its provides you with thinking power. The real learning to pursue your career starts at work. Achievements will come for those who seek. Set your goals early and never lose sight of it.
