Staff Username

  • A USP staff username is necessary to access USP computers, authorized USP websites, online applications such as Moodle, Staff SOLS and many any other IT resources

What is my USP Username

  • Your USP username is normally your surname_first-initial (bloggs_j)

How do I collect my USP password

  • Every new staff receives their initial password via the IT Helpdesk. It is strongly recommended that the initial password is changed

How do I change by USP password?

  • Staff members can change their password by visiting the IT helpdesk or by selecting the keys "Ctrl-Alt-Del" together and then selecting "Change Password"

Connect your computer to the USP network

  • Wireless
    • Connect to the staff wireless network (SSID) listed below and open a web browser
      Wireless Network Name (SSID) - USP_Staff
      For wireless configuration guides and hot spots, visit http://www.usp.ac.fj/wireless/
  • Wired
    • All staff PC's wired onto the USP Network Infrastructure

Access your USP E-Mail Account

  • To access your email, staff members can either open Microsoft Outlook 2010 on their desktop or go to the appropriate web page below and log in with your username and password.

How to Log a help request

  • Please visit the website http://servicedesk.usp.ac.fj
  • Once an assistance is requested, Helpdesk staff members work quickly to resolve it by:
    • Providing you with a helpdesk ticket number
    • Assigning a priority level and following the guidelines for incident management
    • Troubleshoot using online tools and resources and following documented procedures to restore service.
    • Engaging appropriate technical staff for the issue, if necessary
    • Communicating with you and key staff from the Helpdesk till resolution

Staff Internet Services

  • Each USP staff has access to the internet. USP provides staff with access to the campus computer network and the global Internet to support their academic work

Protect your Computer

  • If your Mac or PC does not have anti-virus software, please contact the IT Helpdesk. Official USP antivirus application is McAfee
