The students, teachers and parents of the Ba Sanatan College and other members of the community were informed of the diverse studying and learning opportunities that the University of the South Pacific (USP) offered during the Collegeís Open Day on 22nd July.
The USP Lautoka Campus participated in the event held at the College and students and others arrived in large numbers at the USP booth to enquire about their further study or career options available through USPís programmes and courses.
Many students were not sure of what career path to choose and the professional staff of the Campus advised them on the various options available for them at USP, based on their combination of subjects and interests.
Parents also took advantage of this opportunity and they were made aware of the training courses offered through USPís Continuing and Community Education (CCE) programme.
The Open Day featured colourful and very creative displays by different areas of studies in the college which was a major attraction for the day. Students kept the guests thoroughly entertained throughout the day with their dance items and other performances.
While officially opening the event, the Divisional Education Officer Western, Lorima Voravora commended the College on its innovation and for maintaining its high standard and rich heritage.
