Westlaw allows Boolean searching but uses its own methods and terminology. An ordinary Boolean search would use the terms AND, OR, and NOT. Instead, Westlaw uses what it calls "connectors"--symbols that serve the same function as Boolean terms. This video introduces you to the more commonly used connectors and how they can be used to adjust your searches.
