The USP Lautoka Campus’ health and awareness campaign is getting more recognized not only amongst its staff and students but also in the wider community of Lautoka.
This was evident from the high number of participants at its health walk in Lautoka held on Saturday, 8th November, which was the final one organized for this year.
The Campus had been conducting this programme consecutively over the last three months.
The walk is gaining popularity also amongst younger children who showed up in good numbers this time.
Following the walk, the participants received free medical check-up where they were able to get their height and weight measured, as well as blood pressure and sugar tests.
USP Lautoka Campus Social Club Committee Chairman Lalesh Sharma said people were now becoming more aware of this programme and better infomed about its benefits.
“We have received positive feedback from the members of the community and a lot of people have been requesting the Campus to continue organizing this programme every month,” he said.
