The University of the South Pacific (USP) Lautoka Campus, for the first time, is hosting the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme that commences Saturday, 31 January 2015.
Around fifty managers from the Western Division have enrolled for this programme that is offered through the Graduate School of Business of the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) of USP.
The first cohort of MBA students from Lautoka attended an intensive one-day orientation held at the USP Lautoka Campus on Saturday, 24 January, facilitated by a number of trainers.
USPís MBA programme is now accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) which is the only global MBA-specific accreditation and membership organization.
The orientation programme was mandatory for the MBA students as required by AMBA.
USP Lautoka Campus Director Dr. Pramila Devi said USPís MBA programme was renowned to produce high-calibre graduates and as such the students were required to meet a certain standard of eligibility criteria to qualify for the programme.
She said the Lautoka Campus was proud to be hosting the MBA programme and hoped more professionals would take advantage of this offer to upgrade their qualification.
