Postgraduate

Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Psychology)

A postgraduate diploma in psychology programme (PGD) consists of at least four courses at 400-level and serves a number of purposes:

  1. It strengthens a studentís understanding of psychology by focusing on four areas at an advanced understanding of selected fields of psychology.
  2. It leads to admission into a masterís degree provided the applicant has achieved a GPA of at least 3.0 in the PGD.


Master of Arts

Although a Postgraduate Diploma is a normal entry qualification for the degree of Master, a student may apply for admission to a Masterís degree programme after completing two postgraduate courses with a GPA of at least 3.0. A degree of Master consists of either:

  1. at least four courses at 400-level as prescribed for the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, and
  2. Thesis not exceeding 50,000 words; or

Scholarship opportunities may also be available to assist your postgraduate study.

Doctorate

To complete a doctorate in Psychology, a student must:
Have a Masters degree in Psychology or closely related field
Complete a dissertation
