2 June 2015
Dear students -- PLEASE READ AND NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS ABOUT OUR FINAL EXAMS FOR SEMESTER 1/2015:
Monday 8th to Friday 19th June.
Morning Sessions: 8:00 – 11:00am
Afternoon Sessions: 1:00 – 4:00pm
We advise and encourage ALL students to be physically present at their respective exam venues ½ hour (30 minutes) before the actual starting exam time to allow for supervisors to make all the necessary announcements and more so to allow for the exam sessions to start exactly on the hour.
This means we expect students to be at their respective exam venues at the following times:
MORNING SESSIONS => 7:30am
AFTERNOON SESSIONS => 12:30noon
We have a few exam venues and thus we encourage students to please check the notice boards for information on their respective exam venues for their course(s).
All students are expected to have a valid ID card with them when they come to do their exam(s). Please revalidate your ID card at the SASS Front Desk. If you do not have an ID card, please see the SASS Front Desk staff to have one processed for you.
Please note that ID cards are processed each day, Mondays to Fridays from 1:30 – 4:00pm.
Absence from Examination
If you are unable to sit for any of your exam papers, please note the following actions to take:
- Sickness – Please see a Medical Doctor on that same day and get him/her to prepare a Medical Certificate for you which you present to staff at the SASS Front Desk who will help you complete the appropriate form to apply for an Aegrotat Pass or a Special Exam.
- Death in the family – if a close member of the family has passed away and you feel you are not able to sit for any of your exams, please complete the Compassionate Pass Application form for this. Note that you must present a copy of the Death Certificate as proof for this.
Change of Exam Site
Please note that the University is moving towards tightening up examination processes and ensuring that disruptions to the normal administration of exams are kept to a minimum hence we are not accepting Applications for Change of Exam Sites from students. All students are expected to sit their exams at the campuses in which they are enrolled. Any change will only be allowed for very good reasons which will require students to provide supporting documentation.
