The Postgraduate Diploma in Governance program is intended for students who have recently completed their degrees and those who are already in the workforce. It is an ideal programme for people in senior or middle-level management positions in government departments and statutory corporations as well as those employed by non-government organisations who feel they would benefit from an in-depth understanding of the issues associated with the implementation of the 'good governance' agenda.
Special Admission Requirements: | To admitted in the Postgraduate Diploma in Governance a full time candidate shall have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised tertiary institution with a GPA of at least 3 (for a part time candidate at least 2.5 in the 200 and 300-level courses in relevant disciplines). Consideration be given to professional experience and related training. |
Special Program Requirements: | Consists of five courses. After completing DG400 and two Governance programme courses including DG406 (alternatively DG406) for the Postgraduate Diploma in Governance with a GPA of at least 3.5 a student may apply for admission to the Master of Arts in Governance porgrammes, and if admitted, shall follow a special programme specified by Senate or its delegate. |
Courses: | DG400; plus DG406 (alternatively DG404); plus one 400-level Governance course; plus two 400-level elective courses. |
