Profile

Dilpreet Kaur is currently the Teaching Assistant for the School of Marine Studies. She has a Bachelor of Science (Biology and Chemistry), Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Science and Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific. Her Masters research was on aquacultured live rock and the ecology of crustose coralline algae. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching from USP. After graduating with her MSc, Dilpreet was employed by USP as the Coordinator for the Coral Reef Initiative in the South Pacific (CRISP) Programme. Later she joined the Fiji National University as a Lecturer in Environmental Sciences. She has over 8 years of tertiary teaching experience. Dilpreet’s research interests include aquaculture, aquarium trade, climate change impacts on marine organisms, ocean acidification, biodiversity conservation and coral bleaching.
