GE101 - Naivucini Village

Year 2000 Field Trip

The first-year physical geography course at the University of the South Pacific is taught by Professor Patrick Nunn and involves a 3- day fieldtrip. In the year 2000, the fieldtrip went to the highlands of the main island of Fiji, Vitilevu, and all 140 people involved were based in the village of Naivucini. The fieldwork involved work with  rivers, observations of rainforest and mass movements, and a  general understanding of how people in these areas interact with  the environment.

Here are some of the finer moments!
