Talanga: The Institute of Education (IOE) Seminar Series
Seminar Title: Tuli ke ma’u hono ngaahi malie: Ko e talanoa lālanga mo fatu lālanga ‘a e kau faiako Tonga mo e Pasifiki ‘i Aotearoa, Nu’usila.

The Institute of Education (IOE), located at USP Tonga Campus, will conduct its first Talanga on Thursday, the 18th of April, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Lopaukamea II Hall at ‘Atele. Dr Linitā Manu'atu, from the School of Education, AUT University, Auckland will present the cutting edge, Bachelor of Pasifika Education (Early Childhood, Teaching). The Degree is the culmination of 25 years research and practice in the areas of Teaching English as a Second Language, Pasifika Education, Indigenous and Migrant Education. Dr. Linitā Manu’atu will present insights of the conceptual framework, Talanoa Lālanga & Fatu Lālanga conceptual framework of this new teaching qualification. Dr Manu'atu also acknowledges the important contribution by Mele ‘Ileni Taione to the development of this program.
The Director and staff of the Institute of Education (IOE) warmly invite all members of the public to attend this talanga so that, as a community, we can share, engage, and discuss the challenges we face in trying to promote education for Tongans here and overseas. This series is open to the public and will have particular significance for those interested in education and academic research.
