- Secretaries - Personal Assistants - Office Administration | IT Services recommends the following model for clients where use is specific to use of the Microsoft Office Suite up to its advanced features and standard and moderate use of Banner (MIS Online, SOLS) and special applications like SPSS, Mathematics and Engineering applications
- Academics - Professional Support Staff - General Computer Labs | IT Services recommends the following model for clients where use is beyond capability of standard PC specifications.
- SMT - Sciences Postgraduate Computer Labs - REACT PCs - Banner Operators - Teaching Computer Labs - Lecture Theatre Computers - Deans & Associate Deans - Head of Schools - Professional Mathematical, Financial & Statistical staff |
Note:
- All Computer purchases require full three (5) years warranty for labour and parts as stated by the warranty agreement provided by the supplier.
- Department must be notified that the MS Office XP Pro license will be charge to the department for every new PC purchased.
- The University covers the Licenses for McAfee Virus Defense Suite and other standard software.
- Additional Peripherals. These items can only be ordered if they are approved by Head of Department.
