The Blood drive that was organized by USP Campus on the 28th October 2011 was a success given the limited time that we were given for advertising and awareness program for our stakeholders. The program started at 10 in the morning and ended in the afternoon at 3.30pm. Staffs of the Campus led by the Campus Director were the first to come forward and donate blood. Students on the other hand were not willing givers. They were practically asked and needed encouragement to come forward and help the course. A few were just too scared to donate blood as they have not done it before. At the end of the day we collected 19 bags of blood. The Head of the Blood Bank Labasa Hospital, Alena Koroi thanked all those who contributed and USP for organizing the event and said that the blood collected would go a long way in saving a life.
