The Niue USP Centre was opened in 1972 and was relocated to an improved facility in 2000

Student numbers vary from year to year but is steady over the past two years at 59 students per semester. The majority of graduates find employment in central government depending on the field of of study at USP.

The staff at the Niue Campus are: the Director, Manager, Office Assistant, IT Net operator/Tutor, and a Messenger/cleaner. There is no dedicated faculty in Niue for the time being although the Campus has 15 tutors and potential tutors to call upon as and when needed.

The most popular courses are those in the management and computer studies areas.

Being a student at any distant campus, Niue included, is always a challenge, but nevertheless fulfilling. Power supply, water, transportation, and absence of study facility contributes to the challenge, a similar set of challenges can be found across the region but students are very motivated to succeed.
