Dr. Haruo Nakagawa received a PhD in economics from the Australian National University in 2004 and joined the faculty of the Governance Program of the USP in 2005. He also has Master degrees in Development Economics (Australian National University) and International Affairs (Columbia University, New York). Before starting his academic career, he worked for fourteen years the Customs Service and the Ministry of Finance in Japan.
