Mission

To support Pacific Island Countries in the sustainable development of their marine resources

Goals

• To help increase the regions capacity to sustainably develop its marine resources through applied research, training and teaching;
• To be a leader in research and consultancy specialising in the marine resources of the Pacific Islands Region;
• To make the University's marine expertise available to the region through research and training consultancies;
• To forge collaborative links and partnerships with other international and regional organisations, other sections of the University, and the private sector.
