General Collection
General Books
General books are shelved on two floors of the Library:
Level B Humanities, Social Sciences
Level C Science, Technology
Larger sized books, with qto or fol as part of the call number, are shelved separately.
General Books may be borrowed according to the Loan Policies in place.
Serials
Serials are kept in several locations and are for use within the Library only.
Reserve
Materials in heavy demand are kept in the Reserve Collection behind the Main Issue Desk on Level B. It includes books and photocopies of articles recommended as course readings.
For use within the Library only. Some items may be borrowed on Overnight Loan.
Academic staff wishing to put items into the Reserve Collection should complete the Reserve Request Form.

Reference
The Reference Collection on Level B includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, yearbooks, who’s who, directories, handbooks and atlases and current University Extension course materials. For use within the Library only.
Computer Resources
Computer Resources such as diskettes, CD-Roms, etc. are kept behind the Main Issue Desk. For details on Membership and Borrowing privileges, please Click Here.
University Calendars and Handbooks
The USP Library keeps a selection of calendars and handbooks from universities around the world.

United Nations
The Library is a depository for publications of the United Nations. Publications of the UN agencies (e.g. Unesco, FAO) are catalogued as books or periodicals. UN publications may also be accessed online if you Click Here.
Paperbacks
There is a collection of light reading material on Level B. Loan policy is the same as for General books.
