Management skills, system analysis, high level communication skills.

Library Technician

Undergraduate Diploma
Manage a small library, under supervision
Good communication skills
Ability to operate, maintain library systems
Ability to supervise library staff

Library Assistant
(Qualified)

Undergraduate Diploma
as per Library Technician (above)
Pre-tertiary Certificate
Ability to operate library systems under supervision
Reasonable communication skills
Manage a small library, under supervision

Library Assistant
(Unqualified)

No qualifications
Ability to operate library systems under supervision
Reasonable communication skills

Library attendant

No qualifications
Ability to perform work under direction of a Librarian, a Library Technician, or a trained Library Assistant

Typist

Formal typing certificate
Typing and word processing skills

Checker

No qualifications
Ability to perform work under direction of a Librarian, a Library Technician, or a trained Library Assistant

Accounts clerk

Formal accounting training from recognised institute
Ability to perform accounting duties

Cleaner

No qualifications
Ability to perform work under direction of a Librarian, a Library Technician, or a trained Library Assistant
