Online Support for LIS courses
Online support is provided using a learning management system called Moodle. This allows students to ask questions about their study, view useful online resources such as PowerPoint presentations and other useful resources created by teaching staff, as well as links to external websites. Students can also submit their completed assignments electronically. Printed course materials are still very important in the Pacific, as many students live some distances from the study centres and do not have computers at home, so these course materials are a convenient way to study wherever they want. What are Class Shares? Class Shares was a space on the USP Network where lecturers could make files available to their students and students can access these files. These files include tutorial notes, PowerPoint tutorials, exam guidelines etc. Note: Class shares are being phased out, and replaced with Moodle course pages. Talk to your course coordinator for information on accessing these pages. |
