This year the 5th International Conference for Science, Mathematics and Technology Education was held in Udon Thailand. Participants from 17 countries around the globe took part, our Campus Lecturer Mr Willi Suluma also presented a paper on this conference from his research work carried out during his Master of  Science.

It is the first time for a seminar for this nature to take place in the North. The one day seminar was organised by Australian National University in conjuction with The University of the South Pacific with the assistance of AusAID. The one day seminar was held at the Northern Inn in Labasa. Academics from both institutions deliberated issiues that was of interest to the country and to the Northern division.

In a collaborative venture between USP Labasa Campus and the School of Education, a group of staff members led by Associate Dean, Dr. Akanisi Kedrayate took to the friendly north on a two day outreach project. The team consisted of Dr Akanisi Kedrayate (Associate Dean FAL), Dr. Govinda Lingam (DH: Primary Education), Ms. Fulori Sarai (Food and Textiles Section), Frances Koya-Vaka’uta (DH: Marketing & Publicity) and Mr. Bisun Deo (DH: Secondary Education).
