The Director of the Kiribati Campus, Dr Ueantabo Mackenzie joins with all the Campus staff to extend their congratulations to His Excellency Beretitenti (President) Anote Tong on his installation as the 14th chancellor of the University of the South Pacific.

" The Beretitenti has always been a strong support of USP Kiribati Campus.  He has a clear and perceptive insight into the needs of Kiribati students and the Campus.  We look forward to his continued support especially as the Campus begins its Campus expansion programme" Dr Mackenzie said.

The role of the Chancellor is to be the titular head of the of the University and is bestowed on a Head of State from one of the twelve member countries on a rotational basis.
