喜逢中秋邀明月,花开盛世庆团圆
南太孔院携手当地华人社团共庆双节

9月22日,南太平洋大学孔子学院(以下简称南太孔院)和斐济当地华人社团联合举办欢庆中秋,喜迎国庆庆祝活动。斐济总统佩利奈拉蒂考阁下、中国驻斐济大使黄勇先生及夫人佟晓玲女士,杨朝晖参赞及领事部郝永旺主任应邀出席庆祝活动。斐济酒店与旅游管理协会会长司徒新耀先生、华人协会会长陈婉娴女士及华侨华人等逾500人出席。  
黄勇大使在致辞中首先祝愿在斐华人华侨中秋节快乐,国庆节快乐。黄大使表示,中秋节是中华民族的传统节日,在斐济举行中国传统节日的庆祝活动有助于加深斐济人民对中国及中国文化的了解。他希望旅斐华人华侨能够团结一心,为推动中斐关系更好更快地向前发展,加深两国人民之间的友谊做出更大的贡献。
斐济华人协会会长陈婉娴女士在随后的致辞中祝愿旅斐华侨华人中秋节和国庆节快乐。
舞狮表演拉开庆祝活动的序幕,敬老活动展现了中华民族的传统美德。除丰富多彩的文体表演和抽奖之外,南太孔院精心准备了文化大餐。10道有关中国文化及国情的知识问答环节,在现场观众积极配合和踊跃参与下将活动气氛推向一轮又一轮的高潮。南太孔院中方院长李登贵老师和嘉宾分别为每位获奖观众颁发了奖品。此外,南太孔院在会场一角设置了中国文化及汉语知识灯谜屋。100道灯谜吸引了包括总统在内的多位嘉宾及观众前往参观答题。总统佩利奈拉蒂考本人更是一举答对两题并获得现场赠送的小礼品。答题现场上到耄耋老人,下到童稚幼儿,大家置身于灯谜屋中寻找自己喜欢的题目,一片热闹祥和,其乐融融的景象。
本次活动在现场嘉宾及观众的一片好评声中画上圆满的句号。大家在体验中秋国庆双节愉快心情的同时,感受到了浓浓的文化气息。

The Confucius Institute at USP Celebrated the Moon Festival and the China National Day Together with the Fiji Chinese Communities On 22nd September, 2013.The Confucius Institute at the University of the South Pacific (CI-USP) held an activity together with the Fiji Chinese communities to celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival and China National Day. The President of Fiji, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and his wife, the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Mr. Huang Yong and his wife, Madame Tong Xiaoling, the Counsellor, Mr. Yang Zhaohui, the Head of Consular Section, Mr. Hao Yongwang, the President of the Fiji Islands Hotel and Tourism Association, Dixon Seeto and the President of the Chinese Association of Fiji, Mrs. Chen Wanxian attended the activity. More than 500 local Chinese people participated in this celebration. The Ambassador Huang Yong wished everyone a happy Moon Festival and China National Day. He said the Moon Festival was a traditional festival for the Chinese people, and it was good to host a celebration to let the people of Fiji know more about China and the Chinese culture. He said all the Fiji Chinese people could make a united effort to promote the cooperation between Fiji and China and to strengthen the friendship between the people of the two countries. The lion dance started the celebration and the organizers specially greeted the senior Chinese people, which showed the traditional moral of respecting the elderly. Apart from the various entertainments and prize drawing, CI-USP also prepared a cultural banquet for the audience. Ten quizzes about China and the Chinese culture pushed the activity to the summit. The Chinese Director of CI-USP, Professor Li Denggui and some guests presented the prizes to the winners. CI-USP also set up a riddle corner, where 100 questions about Chinese culture and language were hung up. Many people including the President of Fiji visited the corner and answered questions. The President himself also answered two questions right and won two prizes. The questions attracted participants of all ages, including kids and the elderly. The celebrations were enjoyed by all who attended and drew lots of praise. The participants celebrated a happy Moon Festival and China National Day, and also learned more about China and its culture.
