USP Labasa Campus Library has integrated library system, Athena, introduced in the year 2006. The Library system Athena fully complies with the international standard. Athena provides strong base of easy searching, fast cataloguing and streamline circulation with inventory control. Labasa Campus has over 3000 volumes in different categories to search from.
With increasing emphasis on students learning the library is a focal point for student activities. The library supports study and research at the USP Labasa Campus and provides an excellent information services, resources and facilities for students and staffs to facilitate their learning and research. The library evaluates its collection, service delivery, technology, and other activities regularly in order to meet the challenges of a changing technology in the global society.
The main library is based at USP Labasa Campus, with an area of 119 square meters, seats 35 readers and currently houses approximately 4, 000 volumes. Of significance is the Pacific collection, a valuable collection of materials on the Pacific Islands, prescribed text, general collection, reference materials, supplementary readings, serials and audio.
The library objectives are achieved through providing excellent library and information service, resources and facilities for students and staffs to facilitate their learning. There is an integrated library system for Labasa Campus and Savusavu Centre, Athena introduced in the year 2006. The library system and its operation comply with the international standards. Athena provides a strong base of easy searching, fast cataloguing, and streamlined circulation and inventory. Also library users are trained during orientation, how to access electronic search and other library resources.

Saturday 9am to 1pm (during semester 1 and 2)
Library conducted its literacy programs to all students and students are specifically shown the formal library arrangement especially how the Dewey decimal classification. During orientation students are shown all aspects of library services and especially how to use the new library system “Athena”.
