The Island of Vanua Levu has many Unique sites and places and comes with the myths of the places.
Below are some of the famous places that you can find
SNAKE TEMPLE
The Snake Temple is located 15km on the east side of Labasa Town.This temple is worshiped by numerous hindu devotes from Fiji and abroad and is marked as a scared one. The Snake temple as the name suggest is naturally is in the shape of snake god believed by hindus. This stone was initally 2ft in height and over the years has grown to almost 15 ft.

THREE SISTERS MOUNTAIN
The Three Sisters Mountain is 4km away on the east side of labasa town, located on the mountains surrounding the business district givens a stunning beautiful look

FLOATING ISLAND
Over and hours bus ride towards the east part of the island, there is a small lake with a floating island about the size of a large house. The Island is made of thick tangled reeds and it moves like a boat. The people from the settlement claims that the traditional priest chants beside the lake and the island moves moves. Eventually it stops and sits beside the hard land.

SAVUSAVU WATERFALLS
On the mid way to the other town namely ,Savusavu, on the island of Vanua lies beautiful naturally waterfall with fresh cool water flowing all year around.
MONKEY FACE MOUNTAIN
Towards the west part of the island lies a mountain name Monkey face in the Niavaka Village, Navakasiga, Bua. The story goes long back when Europeans were sailing around the world discovering places, one of the British Lords son died on their trip, at that time they have reached the island of vanua levu and were passing through the passage. the Lord decided to bury the beloved son under the mountain they called moneky face.Until to date any ship that passes the passage beeps their horn to show respect to the deceased.
