Course: ED358 Community Education
Dates: June 24th – July 11th , 2013
Course description: The course aims to enhance learning, empower people and contribute to society by identifying needs, designing and implementing projects, and adapting them to suit different contexts. The course explores issues such as social structures and organizations, leadership, decision-making, resource mobilisation and utilization as well as community needs. ED358 is the final unit in the Non-formal programme and may be taken by people involved in non-formal education, community development, health education, grassroots developments, community health, agricultural extension, environmental groups, women’s groups and youth workers.
Students may be admitted to the course at the discretion of the lecturer if they have experience in non-formal education, community education or community development work.
Pre-requisites: Ed158 or ED258.
