FAQ's: University Life

  1. None of my friends from my old high school have come to USP. How can I meet new people?
Get involved in your Students' Association, or join a club on or off campus. Form or join study groups with other students in your courses. If religion is part of your life, find out about religious youth groups on or off campus. If you're staying at the Halls of Residence, take part in the ice-breaker social activities organised by the Hall. Be brave - there are lots of shy and lonely first year students on campus, just introduce yourself to one!
  2. I don't eat meat. Is there anywhere I can get lunch on campus?
At all three campuses dining halls and other food outlets usually offer a vegetarian option each meal-time
  3. Can my husband also use the Laucala Campus Medical Centre?
Yes, but only if you are a regional student and he has paid the Student Medical Care Scheme membership fee.
  4. I'll be a first year on campus student. Do I have to live on campus?
If you are a sponsored student it may be a requirement of your sponsor that you live on campus at least for your first year. If you are self funding you can live wherever you like.
