Val is a Senior Instructional Designer at the University of the South Pacific where he has worked for over 10 years. He has special responsibilities for online instructional design, Moodle implementation and operations management in the production of courseware. He has qualifications in Multimedia Production from Okinawa International Centre and Kansai University, Japan, and in Human Resource Management and Education Technology from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He is an avid tennis player. In February, 2011 Val took study leave to undertake PhD studies at the University of Wollongong, Australia. He was awarded an Australian Leadership Award Scholarship and will be away for three years. |
