Satya Samy is a Business Management Lecturer with over 30 years of industry work experience. He has held senior management roles in Operations Management (business logistics – supply chain management), general business management, marketing, business analysis and Human Resources Management. He has worked in Australia, NZ and he has held executive positions in a number of local and global organizations. He has extensive background in customer service, productivity and in international business management.
Satya Samy has published articles in Journals and presented seminars on Human Resources, Leadership, Innovation, Creativity, Quality, Finance and other Business Management topics. His teaching focus is on business courses (Indigenous Business Development, Business Culture, Supply Chain Management, E-Commerce, HRM, etc.). He travelled significantly around the world and this global exposure has contributed significantly to the understanding of different cultures, businesses and social structures. Many of these destinations were in the Asia and Pacific regions.
The research interest are in such areas as; business strategy, marketing, innovative business systems, supply chain management, development & use of human resources for better productivity, service, innovation and creativity. He is currently (2008) working on productive relationship of human resources in supply chain management. Other interests include customer and service relationships for profit and not for profit enterprises.
Satya is a graduate of Michigan State (USA) in Supply Chain Management & International Business, Postgrad Dip. in Banking & Finance (USP), BA Business (USP) and an Australian (NSW) Trade Certificate.
Satya Samy is an Affiliate Member of Fiji Institute of Accountants, an active Rotarian and admits doing charity & community work for the last 30 years and currently continues to be heavily involved in these activities. He conducts leadership, creativity, and innovation forums at public and private engagements. He welcomes discussion on human resource productivity improvements.
